Hi everyone,
we’re running a Shopify store with a custom domain (www.moot.eco) and are experiencing intermittent connectivity issues for users in Germany, depending on their ISP.
Symptoms observed:

Browser errors like
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT(Chrome) or “connection unexpectedly closed” (Safari) -
No HTTP status code returned (failure occurs before HTTP)

DNS resolves correctly, SSL is valid

Issue is ISP-dependent (German mobile & fixed-line providers)

Intermittent but reproducible on specific network paths
Key detail:

The Shopify-provided domain (moot-eco.myshopify.com) works consistently

The issue only affects the custom domain

Shopify admin shows the domain as Connected
-
This has resulted in a significant drop in tracked traffic, as failed connections never reach analytics
This strongly suggests a routing / edge / connectivity issue related to Shopify’s infrastructure for custom domains (possibly POP-/ISP-specific).
Has anyone experienced a similar issue recently?
