I just launched my shop and have been contacting influencers to help promote.
One such person was given a $75 gift card to the shop to purchase whatever she likes, but she has been unable to check out because Shopify is requiring that she enter a credit card. She sent screenshots which show the amount she is requesting ($38ish total) is well under the $75.
I had two US-based friends test out the site and check out experience before launch to make sure there were no issues and neither of them had to enter CC info.
Is there a setting I need to change so international customers are not required to enter CC info with a gift card? I planned on sending out several of these.
