After a year of hard work, we finally just launched Clyve Supply — a marketplace for premium men’s grooming and self-care supplies.
Ahead of beginning any promotion and marketing, I’d love feedback on the site and to understand what design decisions, Shopify integrations, and marketing tactics/tools have been most effective for your businesses (especially on a bootstrapped budget).
I’d say page speed is fine. Not the first priority anyway.
CDN takes a little time to populate for fresh stores.
If anything, I’d delay newsletter popup a bit – it does affect negatively the pagespeed.web.dev test, but should not be an issue in real stats.
Thank you all so much for taking a look at the site and sharing your feedback.
The Stretch theme has been pretty awesome overall and is really letting our brand story and visual identity shine!
We’re not selling outside of the US just yet, so I’ll try to make that clearer on the site. We hope to grow internationally in the next year or two, but we’re a small family operation and not quite ready to handle it logistically.
Good call on the additional contact methods and social accounts, will update them on the site soon!
That is a pretty good store, clean. Theme, images, font, all on point. You did check a lot of boxes for how the store should look. And others mention a few things to improve.
A few things to add:
Not a big deal, but my preference is sticky header in both ways.
Homepage could use some testimonials and reviews, when you get them, and later user videos.
Product page, info area, you could use some customer reassurance blocks, icons with text, payment methods
But more, you can and should have a subscription app, after one or two purchases if they come back, they would for sure try that. Also, some bundles on the product page with a discount would work well with your products.
I miss the contact information page with all business details, the address I did find, but no email, phone… That, to me, adds more trust.
Wow, one of a few stores that actually looks good and hit alot of good points. One suggestion is maybe add a location of where your based in if you dont have a brick and motor. Just adds some sort of trust?
It was mentioned above, but I would change the way you are trying to get email subscriptions. It blocks the page and causes an action to get back to the site:
Consider a Sidebar, or maybe moving it lower in the page. Can also trigger it as an action - Similar to dropping your menu when someone looks like they are leaving the page. (Back Button for me)
This recommendation is just a personal preference of mine. You already use Support(at)… for everything. Consider creating Privacy(at)…, and Returns(at)…. or Refunds(at)… This allows you to organize your inbound emails into their respective folders and addressed with appropriate priority.
Something to consider… Because you allow someone to add a product to cart with a hover-over. I know you can click on the product to get a detailed description, but you might want to add a short one line description to the overview page:
