This issue has had a ton of replies from merchants and no one from @Shopify_77 has addressed this at all:

I consider this complete disregard for Shopify merchants, the fact that no changes have happened and inventory adjustments are still ONLY AVAILABLE for the previous 3 months. It is actually laughable.
Inventory quantities, their changes, and variances can only be valid if you know the exact history for each and every variant.
*And more importantly the you MUST be able to see how many of each item you received from DAY ONE otherwise all the other adjustments and edits are useless because what are you even comparing them too.
I can’t believe with Shopify’s platform you are essentially hiding this data from its owners!
