Yes, it’s definitely possible to show inventory counts within the variant selector on the product page, even with the Dawn theme.
To implement this, you’ll need to customize your product page template and add a bit of JavaScript and Liquid code to pull and display the live inventory data for each variant.
If you’re comfortable with code, I can guide you through the steps — or if you’d prefer, I can recommend a Shopify app that handles it more easily without coding.

Hi @Moeed after some digging I’m almost certain it should be placed within this body of code, from the main product liquid, any advice as I’m struggling to find the right place I can see it displaying when posting around the selector but not within the drop down field, thanks alot!

You have to place the code right after {{ value }} before the {%- endfor -%} and then adjust the code accordingly to however you want it to display.
