Inventory Levels for Kits vs Individual Parts

Is there a way to have Part A, Part B, and Part AB (kit of A + B) connected? If someone purchases qty 1 of Part AB, can it deduct -1 for Part A as well as -1 for Part B? I wasn’t sure if this could be tied together under one SKU, or if this could be done as a product variation.

I’ve been struggling to figure out what the best way to do this is, and I’m curious if there are any plugins or native features within Shopify that allow this to happen. This would be an incredible feature for the workflow of my store and I’m willing to make adjustments to my process or listings if it will allow this capability. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend using https://apps.shopify.com/simple-bundles and ensuring inventory sync is on.

I suggest two options.

  1. Shopify Flow. You can create flow to adjust inventory.

  2. With the help of https://apps.shopify.com/synkron-1 bundle SKU feature, you can link stock management of each product, without creating actual bundle. Inventory level will be adjusted per location.
