Recently Shopify removed the ability to select multiple products from inventory page and reduce same amount of inventory for these items. Bulk editor doesn’t have the option to make a reduction across several products. Any workaround available or can I beg for it to some back? This seriously impacts my workflow.
Hey @StacyRG
Quick check though, when you’re on Products > Inventory, are you using the Update quantities button after selecting variants? It still exists, just got moved around in the latest UI shuffle. Select your variants via the checkboxes, then look for Update quantities in the bulk actions row at the top, that’s where the “adjust by same amount” option lives now (you can choose Adjust by from the dropdown to reduce a fixed amount across all selected items). If you only see “Edit variants” and not “Update quantities”, you might be on the old layout, try refreshing or switching browsers.
They keep shuffling UI nowadays so yeah I can tell it’s difficult to adjust yourself with a new UI but let me know if that works for you.
Cheers,
Moeed
Yes.. exactly… It’s official links - @StacyRG https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/inventory/adjusting-inventory/adjusting-inventory-quantities
Moeed - Thank you so much for the response. I do not have the Update quantities button and after several chats with the help desk they determined it is a bug. Not sure why it is only affecting me, however. I have performed a hard reset and clearerd cache as instructed and it still does not appear. Any other thoughts?
I am also having this issue, i have a lot of variants on single products and it is now much harder to edit the quantities. Am i missing the button or has shopify removed this?
Hi there - I was told it’s missing for me but Shopify said it would have to be rectified with a future update. Very strange.
