We are a small manufacturing company selling products on Shopify and we are looking for an inventory management app.
I have found several of such apps, but what I’m missing is the functionality to add and track components (which are not sold separately) under a product in the Shopify store.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The app Material Manager is able to do this. It lets you keep a private inventory of components. Then assign those components to Shopify products/variants. When one of those products is sold it will draw down all component inventory, and sync the inventory of other products using those components.
If you like working in spreadsheets, Mixtable makes inventory management simple.

You can also edit inventory in Mixtable, and those changes update your Shopify store.
Keep your Shopify inventory in one column, and track parts or components in other columns or even on separate sheets. If you can organize it in Excel, you can organize it the same way in Mixtable.
