I realize that Shopify is constantly evolving, but the recent modification to the Inventory control page in the admin was incredibly poorly conceived. Can someone please tell me why it went from simply being able to type a number and hit enter to update a product’s quantity to whatever the heck this is supposed to be:

Then to make things more confusing, the Done button merely closes the modal and you still have to hit Save to finish. And then to add insult to injury, for the first few days after this mistake, you were at least able to use the up/down keys to change the inventory, but they’ve just disabled that, as well!
Are some of the Shopify devs just really bored and feel compelled to implement random tweaks for a paycheck? I mean, whoever built that has obviously never actually used Shopify to run a shop, because literally no one who does could possibly find that useful.
Someone higher up on the dev team: I implore you to PLEASE revert this change and let us be able to just type a number and hit enter to update our shop’s inventory again. Many of the updates to the admin’s functionality over the years have been helpful, but this change was a BAD IDEA… Thanks.
Chris
P.S. I once again offer my services as a beta tester to ensure mistakes like this don’t happen. I’d do it for absolutely free, as I use Shopify to run my business every day and therefore have a heavily vested interest in making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently for all of us shop owners out there…
