Recently I set up my shop and I think someone tried to legitimately purchase one of my listings but I think my store was in test mode. I received an email saying “Your first payout is on its way!” and how the money will be transferred to my bank account in 1-2 business days, but when I look in the orders tab there’s nothing, not even a test one. Should I be concerned?

If you received an email about a payout but don’t see corresponding orders in your Shopify admin, there are a few things you can check:

Order Status:
- Ensure that you’re checking the correct order status. Sometimes, orders might be marked as pending or unfulfilled. Verify your order status filters in the Shopify admin.

Test Mode:
- Check if your store is still in test mode. If it’s in test mode, real transactions won’t be processed, and orders won’t show up in the regular order list.

Payment Gateway Configuration:
- Confirm that your payment gateway is properly configured for live transactions. If it’s still set to test mode, real transactions won’t be processed.

Email Authenticity:
- Confirm that the email you received is legitimate. Check for any signs of phishing or fraudulent activity. Ensure that the email address and content are consistent with Shopify communications.

I can confirm that the email was indeed legitimate but I think it was just my store still being in test mode which caused this whole confusion. Thanks for helping me out though.
