Not sure I am in the correct thread. First time posting.
Has anyone or is anyone currently using the “Row of Images” section in a 2.0 shopify store? Before Sections everywhere were made available in 2.0 themes, I was building a store and using the Row of Images section on an about page, as shown below in the red highlights, in the Motion 7.2.0 theme, when you had to put sections individually in each page template. I planned to use it on other pages as well. I paused working on the site a couple of weeks ago, once the developer posted that the 2.0 version was in Shopify review and would be released soon. Now I am back at it and trying to use a fresh Shopify 2.0 version of the theme to build on. However, in the latest 2.0 version of Motion 8.0.0, sections everywhere, Row of Images isn’t among the list of sections Am I missing something? I can see a snippet (second image below) that appears to be the underlying code necessary for that section on the backend of the code for the theme.
For transparency, I have reached out to the theme developer for help over the past week beginning on 8.20 and have gotten the following responses: “Thank you for contacting us. Regarding the text columns with image sections, hmm, have you tried clicking on the “Show More” section?” on 8.23 and “Thank you for getting back to us and for your patience on this so far. That seems odd! Have you tried assigning out page.about template as shown in our guide below:” on 8.27. I have written reply emails in detail with a Youtube link of a video capture and links to other stores with that section active using the Motion theme. It feels like they aren’t listening to me and just pushing me off. I know developers are probably busy trying to convert themes over to 2.0 and support for merchants isn’t priority number one right now. But wow! Today 8.27, I tried to send the images below in a reply and got a Gmail reply that their email inbox was full or they are getting to many emails at the moment and my mail couldn’t be delivered.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
