Hi! I’ll be selling in person and online, and I’m trying to keep my costs down for now, so I have the Starter Plan which uses the Spotlight theme.
Some of the items I’ll be selling will require customization like a name or year. Is there a way to add a text box for this customization using the Spotlight theme on the Starter Plan?
My understanding is that no, you wouldn’t be able to add a text box for customization.
In the official help docs, it shows that ‘customization options’ for your theme are not available on the Starter plan.
This means that you wouldn’t be able to add any custom coding, to support a text box. I haven’t personally tried using the Starter plan before, so I don’t know if you’d be able to use any paid apps on the store (I’m assuming no, because customizations aren’t supported, which are essentially what apps are).
I believe you would need to upgrade to the Basic Plan in order to customize the theme (or add an app) to support a text box on your product pages.
