Is Google Analytics 4 supported in Shopify?

Hi,

We are planning to move to Shopify, but could find that Google Analytics cannot be implemented on Shopify, even though we found an article referring to implementing through head section through editing code. Could you please confirm?

I have already connected GA4 to my Shopify site for a long time. That’s just the data is slightly different from the standard by about 3-6%, why so I do not know.

Did you set GA4 up with GTM or without? I set up GA4 with GTM but occasionally I get duplicate transaction IDs reported in GA4 and UA. Have you seen duplicate order before? Basically, prefix order numbers and non prefix order numbers get reported. Ex order # 1010 and ABC110 occasionally appear in both versions of analytics. Any ideas where to look for the cause of this issue?
