Is is possible to edit the shipping method names when using calculated rates?

We use a mix of shipping rates including our 3PL’s rate. Our 3PL shops around to find the best rate so we want to display the duration for shipping method (3-8 business days, 2 business days, etc.) vs. carrier + duration (UPS 2 days, FedEx 1 Day, etc.). Is there a way to modify the shipping method names when the rates are calculated? If not, is there an app that can do this?

To have the ability to change the Carrier’s shipping title, you will be required to use a 3rd party rate-providing app, such as Intuitive Shipping.

With the app, you have the ability to have as many carriers as you need, and have a singular title displayed. You can even control the delivery days. You can amend them to be any number of days you prefer or remove them altogether.

Within the app, the control is almost endless on the shipping rules and rates that you would like to display to your customers. If you would like to learn more, I encourage you to book a demo call and ask as many questions as you may have.

I do want to inform you on Third Party Calculated Rates that Shopify requires to be enabled to have any rate-providing app be installed. Depending on your Shopify Plan level, this may have a cost of $20 per month. Shopify Plan Level, with a monthly subscription will have to pay their fee. If you are paying yearly, or on a higher plan level, the Third Party Calculated Rates are apart of the subscription.

Thank you for getting back to me. It looks like your pricing is based on order volume so it doesn’t make sense to pay $450/month for this one feature.

The tiered plan of $450 is for 10000 online orders in a month. If you do less than that, there are lower-tiered plans that accommodate that. For example, if you are under 500 online orders, that plan has a cost of $70. If you do 500 orders in a month, that works out to ¢14 an order.

All our features are available at any tiered plan level. We don’t penalize any one store for having different shipping needs. We charge solely on orders completed. If you have abandoned carts or test rates, they don’t count toward the billing plan.
