Is it necessary to edit product images for uniform background color?

Hello Shopify Experts!

Is it mandatory for pictures to be cut out to automatically change the background color of the products when displayed in the Article view? The aim is to have the same background on all the products without having to cut all of them out and upload them again.

Also it would be ideal if the background colors of the category page and the article site vary (f.e. light grey background on the category page and white background in article view).

@Chempel - background colors can be set with css, so you can try different css foor thhe different place required and it can work

Thanks for the answer! My problem is with the pictures not being cut out and some being with white, some with gray Background. Can i edit the white and grey spaces reliably in the Code without impacting the product in the middle?
