Does it affect the logic of the Shopify programs if Compare at Price is not null?
We have alway just put the price in both the Price and Compare At Price when we add a product.
This way when it went on sale, we didn’t have to remember to load the Compare At Price.
However, Facebook does not handle it well. Their logic must just check if the Compare at Price is > 0 or not null.
Just wondered if we can store the 0 there ok or if it must be blank.
Thx
Hi, @donnamac .
Thank you for reaching out!
You can have 0 as the compare price; it is recognized in the platform the same as leaving it blank.
Please let me know if you have any further questions! I would love to learn more about your business. What type of products do you sell?
Hi Emily,
I have a report about “it is recognized in the platform the same as leaving it blank” about 0 in compare at price.
There are some cases where this is not respected: for example, if I set a collection with a “compare at price is empty” rule, products with compare at price 0 will be excluded from this collection.
If for the platform 0 and null are equivalent I would expect 0 to be treated as empty.
Can you help us? we are stuck in all collections with logic of compare at price included/excluded.
Thank you
