Is it possible for the checkout summary to be open rather than hidden on mobile?

We are running a sale with a promo code and a lot of customers have trouble finding where to add the promo code on mobile as the order summary is closed. Is it possible to have it open all the time?

Greetings, @gusbeau .

Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!

I understand you’re looking for a way to keep the open summary open on mobile as some customers are having trouble finding where to add their promo code. While there isn’t an option to do this at the moment, I can see how this can help customers on mobile devices and I’d be happy to share this suggestion with our development team. If Shopify moves forward with any changes to the checkout or checkout settings, then we’ll be sure to announce them on the Shopify Changelog.

I’ve also taken the opportunity to look over your website and I think you’re off to a great start. While the navigation menu and drop-downs look great, there may be an opportunity for you to utilize more of the space for top menus. For example, having separate menus for the contact page and FAQs can help make these resources more visible and accessible for your customers.

That being said, some merchants find removing the “Powered by Shopify” message from the footer can help add to the professionalism of their storefront - would this be something that interests you? Also, have you considered using something like Shopify Inbox to interact with customers live on your store?

Yes I’d definitely be interested in removing the Powered by Shopify message - how do I do that?

Hey, @gusbeau .

Thank you for following up!

You can remove the “Powered by Shopify” message using the Language editor, which is commonly used for translating or rewording. From within the Language editor, you can search for a keyword, like “powered”, or you can look under the Checkout & system tab to find the field. After that, simply enter a blank space into the field and save the changes.

I’m delighted to see that you have a Black Friday promotion going on! That being said, what other strategies have you prepared for your marketing plan?
