Is it possible to add fee to pickup?

I know that “In store pickup” is usually used to allow a customer to place an order that they will pickup at the store without any delivery-type fee, so that’s why it’s list as “FREE”. However, we use “In store pickup” as a “Local Pickup” which are weekly drop points that customers have a time window to pickup at. While it does not cost as much as home delivery, there are costs associated with these “Local Pickups” that we’d like to help pay for with a reasonable fee. Something like “Free on orders over $100, $2.50 on orders over $20, and $5 on orders under $20”. What are the best ways to accomplish this?

FYI, we tried the “Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery” app, but we couldn’t make it work for us after trying and trying.

Hi @leahplus4 :waving_hand: ,

In this case**,** I recommend exploring the Local Delivery option in your Shopify admin under Shipping and Delivery. For More Information

So that You can:

  • Set up conditional rates (e.g., Free for orders over $100, $2.50 for $20-$100, $5 under $20).
  • Define the name of the service and delivery radius to limit availability to nearby customers and also add Delivery information.
  • In Checkout, from the customers, you can collect phone numbers and delivery instructions for better coordination.

This should help you implement tiered pricing for local pickups within a specific radius.

Note: Local delivery typically uses local resources for door-to-door deliveries within a nearby area. Ensure that this feature for your pickup setup aligns with your business needs. If it’s not working as expected for your business, consider reaching out to Shopify support.

Give it a try, I hope this helps!
