Hi guys,
We run a website (www.christmassongsandcarols.com) and we have a whole lot of Christmas songs that have free downloads on them. We began by selling our albums on Shopify but have ended up with our entire Christmas music catalogue on our site now also and with our songs not being purchasable, we don’t really see them as products. Below is a screenshot of our the URL shows on Google. We want to change the /products/ to show the Collection name (Christmas Song Lyrics). I realise this would make the collection url / {{collection.name}} / {{collection.name}}.
We think it is slightly confusing for our user who come via Google, so if anyone has any ideas on a work around that would be great! I tried adding ld-json schema breadcrumbs but to no avail.
Thanks!

Shopify has some predefined URLs for products, collections, pages, etc.
Unfortunately there is no way to change the word products that appears in the URL with something custom, using standard Shopify for the website frontend.
Thanks for that! I thought that would be the case. What do you mean by standard shopify? Is it possible to do on shopify plus?
Sorry about confusion, but no, even with Shopify Plus it’s not possible.
It can be done with Shopify Headless, but develop it would be much more complex.
Thanks for that! A bit of a bummer
Hi
Hope you are doing well.
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows anyone to set up an online store and sell their products. Merchants can also sell their products in person with Shopify POS. By default, there are some pages on which It isn’t possible with Shopify to create customized URLs for products and pages, even in Shopify Plus.
There is no way to change the default word products in the URL with a custom name because Shopify has to use standard default words.
Thank you.
