Is it possible to modify the payment screen layout?

Hi, I would like to know if I can edit the payment screen layout.

To explain what I would like to do, I have attached an image of what the screen looks like now and my proposed layout. My reason for the changes is that a few customers contacted me to say they didn’t have Express Checkout payment options. They just had a debit card. I can see why they may not have seen the “or” for the debit / credit card and finalise their purchase.

Any input is much appreciated.

Editing or adjusting the checkout page, beyond what’s possible through the Theme Editor, isn’t possible as this code isn’t made accessible for security purposes. The checkout is considered a secured page, so making its source code unavailable helps us ensure that the information inputted and processed on checkout remains safe at all times.

Just a note that while stores on the Shopify Plus plan have the ability to customize their checkout page, there are limitations to what they can edit as explained in this document. For stores that aren’t subscribed to Shopify Plus however, the checkout page can only be customized for its style, as mentioned in our help guide here.

I definitely understand your perspective however, and can see how it may be confusing for customers to only see the express checkout options initially upon checking out on mobile. From your screenshot, I can see that your store still has the current three-page checkout style, which means that customers are having to go through three pages on checkout before placing their order. If you’re not already familiar with this, just a heads up that we’re currently working on rolling out our new one-page checkout feature for eligible merchants.

The one-page checkout will make it easier and faster for customers to make a purchase on your store, as all checkout fields and information will now be presented in one page rather than the previous three page layout. BTW yes I have the integrated card option active.
