No, tags are tags are data strings not deeper logic constructs that have operation “within” in and of themselves.
Tags are not translatable within Shopify and we sell in multiple countries/languages

Use the free shopify-flow app , or the mechanic app, etc to automate converting tags into metafields then translate the metafields or adding custom translated tags.
And/or custom the theme to display metafields, or special tags in place of the original tags.
