Hi. I cancelled my basic subscription and closed my store today. I would like to know if the domain will be “cancelled” as well? I want to use another hosting website to buy the same domain again.

The domain names are not canceled when one cancels the subscription. Unless renewed, domains usually expire after 1 year period.
If you have purchased the domain with Shopify, you can transfer it out to another host.

I have cancelled my plan today and I can’t remember if I have renewed my domain or not. How can I check this?
Go to https://www.whois.com/
Type your domain and look for “Expires On:” date.
