Is Opayo Sagepay still supported on Shopify?

Topic summary

Support status: Opayo (formerly SagePay) on Shopify has been inconsistent. Earlier reports said the SagePay option was removed, with suggestions to ask Shopify’s payments team to re-enable it and claims (from Worldpay) that Shopify discourages third‑party gateways.

Recent update: Opayo is now under Elavon branding, and transaction/reporting URLs must switch to Elavon domains by 31 March 2024; legacy SagePay URLs will stop working.

New development: A new “Opayo by Elavon” Shopify plugin is available. Some users initially saw “technical error” messages after installation.

Workarounds/steps: Resolve errors by generating Integration Key/Password from an Opayo admin login (log in with the vendor name as both username and vendor field), then reconfigure the plugin. A screenshot was shared illustrating the login/key creation process.

UX note: At checkout the method displays as “Opayo by Elavon.” This label can be changed and payment methods reordered using the “Payfy: Payment Rules” Shopify app.

Status: The integration appears to work once properly configured, but setup can be tricky. Open questions remain about universal availability versus account‑by‑account enablement.

i have same issue, apparently shopify removed this option but then oapyo also known as sage pay requested they/shopify reinstate it, the trick is you got to ask their payments team to make it available to you again, ive been trying for a week and thus fr no luck as it seems the are reluctant to do so.

chase shopify support tell them to make it available to you on your account.

i was told this by opayo technical support.
