Due to a new application of the law on cookies in Italy, which requires the presence of google analytics on European servers (https://www.computing.co.uk/news/4051808/italian-protection-authority-warns-google-analytics#:~:text=Google%20Analytics%20data%20collected%20through,United%20States%20using%20Google%20Analytics.)
To prevent possible future problems of interpretation of this law, is it possible to move / decide where are the servers where the store is located? So, in our case, move it to a European server?
thank you
Ok.. But to be “secure”, is possible to choose the server location of shopify store?
But here in Italy, the privacy guarantor has already begun to warn against using google analytics that are located in the USA because the data is treated differently than in Europe.
Our fear (at least on my part) that it then applies a little to all data (including those taken from shopify on users). So you understand the reason for this question .. Thank you
So at the moment is not possible “change” server locations? Right?
