If I have set up a referral network for my Shopify store would this be organic marketing still while having incentives of paid commissions for sharing their link with potential customers? People need to signup with a PayPal account email to get their custom referral link before any future customers generate their commission for introducing them to my website.
Hi @PNTHRtech
No, this is definitely considered a form of paid marketing. Organic marketing is when there is no direct monetary exchange for promotion, such as writing a blog post or creating a YouTube video that provides value and attracts an audience over time. A referral network, where you pay a commission for each sale, is a form of paid marketing. It’s essentially a commission sales model.
There’s nothing wrong with this strategy; in fact, referral marketing is a very popular and effective method in e-commerce. You are paying someone to generate sales, just as you would pay Google or Meta for clicks or impressions.
