Is this whole set-up-a-store thing deliberatly made difficult?

Our community is a great space for connecting with merchants, partners, experts and developers. Through the community, you can share questions, engage in discussions, receive technical support and discover the Shopify platform.
We understand that building and starting an online store from scratch can be quite a task. We’re here to help walk you through the onboarding process so that it’s a smooth one! That being said, please feel free to share any questions you have as I’d like to take a look.
I’d like to share some of my favourite resources when getting started on the platform.
- Our Official Shopify Tutorial on Youtube gives a brief overview of the platform and walks you through each step while setting up your store. I find that our General Checklist is best paired with the Youtube video so you can follow along and check off the boxes as you go.
- The second resource is our Shopify Help Center which houses a wide range of documents and videos for building your store, adding functionalities, solving technical questions and much more. You can type in your query in the search bar to bring up specific documents.
- Lastly, I recommend taking advantage of Shopify Learn which includes free courses to help you learn more about the platform. We have a Getting Started with Shopify Course that I feel would be beneficial during your building process.
I’d also love to hear what kind of online business have you started and what products will you be selling.
