Hello! We just upgraded to plus and are still within our 30 days to cancel. We are unsure if plus is worth it for us as a business and if we will make back the monthly expenses. We are a small business and not grossing enough for specialized success managers. If someone else is in a similar boat could they let me know if Plus is worth it?
I am not a merchant but a developer but all I can say is it depends totally on your business.
Since you yourself is mentioning your business as not that big at least at this moment Shopify plus doesn’t sound that great of an option but yes if you are someone who likes taking risk and is looking to make a jump in business Shopify plus does have extra features and functionality and automations with flow that could help in enhancing your site.
But at the same time the growth and success of the business does not really depends on a plan, a lot of merchants are doing well enough on basic or grow plans.

We run D2C and B2B so we like the functionalities for both. We where told that we would have launch engineers and success specialists but now that we are signed up they are saying we are not eligible and we have to merge both of our shopify stores ourselves. I just want to know all of the pro’s and cons of plus and if it is something that is worth it. We manufacture and design our clothing.
I am definitely not a specialist in this case but plus does give you access to flow where you can automate your stuffs and add triggers.
It also gives you access to checkout pages where you can add extra styles and functionalities to checkout page which is not available other than plus.
These are some I know of.

Hi @BlairDarviny
I’m @PaulNewton shopify-partner with a range of merchant solutions.
No, if the math doesn’t work out , or you haven’t even done the math, then your answering your own question.
At no point in the opening description did you highlight a MUST have feature.
Extracting that detail out of you is work though likely work that leads right back to: NO.
Your asking about burning ~$30K while being very very vague.
Just setting yourself up for a sales pitch you don’t need.
Would your customers pay YOU a premium if you acted that way.
What does that tell you about future support for something your paying 6 figures for.
There is no SLA, etc etc.
That’s a big list, do the homework with basic internet searchs, then forum searches.
Then show your work and ask a SINGULAR scoped question based on that effort.
Otherwise your asking others to walk through your entire business process and some softwares feature set.
if iF IF B2B is what matters, then doesn’t it only matter if X > Y.
Where X is revenue from B2B and Y is the cost to get native B2B; with some over-under from opportunity costs etc.
Otherwise use apps, multiple stores, or different software with a CLEAR value proposition and no weird bait n switch behavior from some sales teams.
@BlairDarviny Plus tends to make sense when you need its specific features (checkout extensibility, B2B, Shopify Functions, higher API limits, workflows, multi-store, etc.) or when you’re at a scale where fee savings cover the subscription. For smaller brands without those requirements, the ROI is mostly tied to customization at checkout or B2B.
If you’re not using those features yet, it can feel expensive. Doing a quick audit of what you’d actually deploy in the next 3–6 months is the best way to judge value.
It depends on how you plan to use it.
Many small business users find that Plus pays back the cost by saving time — especially for repetitive writing or ideation work.
Tips before you decide to cancel
Track how much time or cost you save using Plus for things you normally do manually.
If yes, Plus might be cheaper in the long run.
If you cancel before 30 days are up, you can always re-subscribe later when your business ramps up.
