This would be useful for us as well. Most of our non-online orders are by phone so our staff take the orders using Mac Minis and the Shopify desktop back-end software. It would be nice to take the order and cc payment for the occasional walk-in using the same interface but with a cc reader vs trying to create the order using an unfamiliar iPad interface (we have a lot of products, but they are industrial with no barcodes so can’t scan them in). We can use the desktop interface now for walk-ins, but we have to take down all of the cc billing info in addition to typing in the cc number/date/cvv. We would like to just just tap or swipe the card. Walk-in customers think it’s strange to give out billing address info and have someone take a record of their card number.
