Since Black Friday, an especially slow Cyber Monday, into a slower Tuesday… and now Wed…
Shopify has been really slow and buggy.
I presume this is because BILLIONS of people are creating TRILLIONS sessions on Shopify Servers…
While Tens of Thousands of store owners are blasting Ads and Promos…
And horribly built apps are failing under load…
Its bad. Real bad.
Its as if the whole network is a NYC traffic Jam. lol.
I have 86 emails from 7 Shopify clients since 11-25-2022 and they are “not happy”
All of them with screens like this and email titles like this:
- We are losing money!
- How can this be down?!
- DO SOMETHING!
- Cant edit site
- Page does not load
- Missing orders!
- Page has errors
- Customer can not checkout!
- Really slow load time
I am even getting PING failures… lol
Minified REACT.js errors on node modules in theme editors…
3rd party API systems saying they “can not connect” to the public API
Open auth errors on simple tasks like “edit meta field” or “edit product”
Some of these accounts have NO APPS - That’s right, not a single app
Others, sure… there are a few apps,
but I am a very very firm believer in direct/custom theme integration wherever possible
ARE YOU GUYS OK OVER THERE?
Because, I see smoke, smell burning and feel fire.
lol. Look… I get it…
I have been doing this a looooong time, since Joomla was Mambo, Since Magento was Varian
But if there is a problem, please tell us
PS: I think this is a lesson in server resources and infrastructure upgrades
