I want to buy the Basic yearly plan on Shopify. During checkout, I saw a requirement for a 5000/- mandate transaction. I’m wondering if this 5000/- will be deducted from the total yearly plan cost or if it’s an additional charge on top of the yearly Basic plan fee.

Happy to offer some context here. What Shopify is asking for is pre-authorization for any charges you may incur up to that 5000 amount. For example, subscriptions, apps, shipping labels, etc.
Approving this authorization doesn’t mean that Shopify is going to deduct that amount. You will pay for the cost of the annual Shopify subscription and then that’s it.
