Hi! I haven’t been able to find something that does this, but does anyone know of an app that will help get some of the way on this problem:
- The product is a dozen cookies
- There’s five types of cookies so ideally there’d be quantity selectors for the five types
- But the user couldn’t add the dozen to cart until they add 12 total in the quantity selectors
- Would love if there was some sort of reporting with the order that shows the amount of each
I’m comfortable with Liquid/JS just wanted to see if there was any jumping off point in an app that could help solve this…
Alternatively, if I was going to build my own form on the product page with input fields for each type of cookie - can anyone point me to how to tie that information to the order that’s created?
Set up product variations and minimum order quantity to 12. There’s also MinMaxifyby app to enforce purchase quantity.

@chenster thanks! I was considering that but it seems like it would blow out the amount of variants pretty quickly. Like in a dozen there’d be ~1000 possible combinations…
Hello, you may have already found a solution by now or maybe not, I do have another option for you to consider, it may also help others who are searching for this kind of solution. As you want your customer to select dozens from five types of cookies then that can be possible with the MultiVariants - Bulk order app.
You need to create a product in Shopify for cookies and create five variants as different types of cookies under the main product. On the product page, there will be a quantity selector for every of the five types of cookies. Now, with the help of MultiVariants - Bulk order app, you can set a minimum quantity purchase as 12. So, the customer needs to choose 12 cookies. Either they can choose one variant or they can choose from all variants in any number as long as the total is 12. If they choose less than 12 then a message will be shown on the product page and without picking the minimum variants they can’t go to the cart page. You can set restrictions on any specific product or group of products in your store.
Along with this, through this app, you can apply restrictions for minimum-maximum quantities, predefined bundle, interval quantities, limits on variants and orders can be achieved. You’ll get 3 days of trial for going through all the available features.
