Our store keeps getting cloned. Shopify provided us with a script but it just redirects the traffic back to our site. We will still be playing whack-a-mole because every time someone clones our site we will have to go and add the bad URL into the script. Is there something out there that would stop someone from coping our store? I believe they are doing this with an iframe.
Yes, there is code in this thread that you can use.
Hi
This is happening to my store - please could you share the script that they suggested as the one they said to me is not working. thanks. Lisa
Hey all. We’ve just released a free Shopify app to help combat this (and warn you if these cloned sites pop up). I’m inspired by this thread to add a script exactly like mentioned here to track and block third party sites using your site content.
I’ll add it in the next week or so ![]()

Hi @GoBlue , "
Add sitewide X-Frame-Options or Content-Security-Policy headers to prevent your store from being loaded within iframes. Use in conjunction with monitoring services for percent of cloned sites, right click or text select disabling for friction, and with watermarks or branded elements. It means less copying and you keep your store functionality and brand intact.
