Is there a way to convert centimetre to feet based on the country of the visitor?

Our products are area rugs and we use centimetres to display the variants. For example a typical product looks like this:

  • 60x90 cm

  • 225x150 cm

  • 300x200 cm

For any visitors coming from the States we would like it to be displayed like:

  • 1.96 ft x 2.95 ft

  • 7.38 ft x 4.92 ft

  • 9.84 ft x 6.56 ft

I know there are 2 other options such as displaying the variants like: 300x200 cm - 9.84 ft x 6.56 ft but then it becomes too long and the UI doesn’t look as good. Another option is to retain the cm default and add a sizing chart but I am not sure if it would be as intuitive for users to click on it.

Hey there!

You could write a script for geolocation to get the country of your visitor. With this information you could modify your product template to show the product sizes either in cm or in ft. Basically your template would recalculate your default sizes to the other ones based on location.
