I have a store where the product names are not very descriptive, so when I ship an order internationally (95% of my sales are international), I have to replace the item description with something that would make more sense to customs people.
For example, my product name might be “the big X thingy”. When I ship internationally, I go into the customs details and change it to “electronic circuit board” or whatever, just so it makes at least a little bit of sense for customs (yes, I use the correct HS code, but it needs the detail)
The problem is that I have to do this for almost every item on every sale, which take a lot of time.
Is there some way to have an “alternate” product name that is just used for the customs forms?
I thought at first the “Save customs details” button would do that, but it doesn’t seem to do anything at all.
Any ideas?
