My client’s store has some pretty specific filtering needs. They provide already made clothing which is already designed, and then they allow the user to customize their own. Both of these categories of products have the same options, but it only makes sense to allow filtering for those variants on the non-custom collection.
For example:
Custom collection offers no, cap, 3/4, or full sleeves. Allowing the collection to be sorted by filter will add these all to the filter, even though every single product has the options, so the filter becomes redundant. An already-made collection might have 50 products, some of which have no sleeves, some cap, some 3/4, and some full sleeves. This makes sense to filter since the customer might be looking for something specific.
I’d love to be able to filter by certain tag/variant groups for custom collections since it definitely is useful, but it appears the filters you decide on in the navigation are store-wide, so I was wondering if there is any way to either selectively choose filters to show on 1 collection, or if there is a way to just create different filter groups and apply them to specific collections.
