Hello Shopify Community!
I’m looking for ways to build a membership-based website that provides discounts for external vendors. Here are some specs/considerations my team and I have figured out so far:
-This app would function similarly to CAA or SPC membership cards, which allow the member access to discounts from a variety of vendors. Either they would have a unique identifier that external vendors would recognize, or they would be provided with discount codes through our website that external vendors would recognize.
-We’d want to track the usage of discount codes/purchases for commission. Maybe this would be a piece of code or something.
-Since not everyone uses Shopify, this system would need to be integrable into other eCommerce platforms.
-I know there are a lot of membership apps, so ideally members will be able to collect points for referring, sharing, etc.
We’re new to this space so apologies for the lack of technical language and we appreciate any suggestions or direction!
