Is this email from 'mailer@shopify.com' a potential phishing scam?

I recived an email titled “Urgent notice about your account activity” from “mailer@shopify.com” that my gmail put in spam that said the following

"Hi,
As part of our continuous efforts in complying with regulatory requirements, identity confirmation is mandatory in order for you to continue using your account.

(Link to “confirm your identity”)

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out to support our help center, or reply directly to the Account Integrity Specialist you have been dealing with regarding your request.

Thanks for choosing Shopify! We look forward to helping you grow your business!

I didn’t click it because it sent to my [email removed] email and looks like phishing, but the from email made me wonder a bit. Has anyone else recived anything like this? (I’m in Ireland by the way, incase it’s a regional thing)

I received the same email on December, 25th. Didn’t click for the same reasons. Did you get a response from Shopify?

I just got three of these scam emails, yesterday.

Is there someone I should contact, I mean my store is running fine, and I know I am not in default.

Yet it asks me for the business information. This is serious.

I will try to get a hold of admin at Shopify.com

( I’m in Canada)

For anyone reading this - make sure you look at the senders email and verify if it is from shopify. (my scammer’s email was hdhupar@ohlone.edu) and don’t click on the link!!!
