I’m a developer building a small tool and I want to check with actual store owners before going deeper.
The problem I keep hearing: turning raw supplier data (messy CSV/specs) into real product descriptions — in your brand’s voice, correctly categorized — across dozens or hundreds of products. By hand
it takes hours, and Shopify Magic does it generically and sometimes gets it wrong (someone here mentioned it labeled an audio cassette a “bike cassette”).
What I’m building: upload your supplier file → give 2–3 examples of your store’s style → get all your descriptions generated at once, in your voice, ready to import.
Two honest questions:
- Is this an actual time-sink for you, or do you handle it fine already?
- Would you want free early access to try it?
Trying to build something genuinely useful, not another generic AI tool. Honest answers welcome — including “I’d just use ChatGPT.”
