Does anyone know if and when WisePad 3 will have support for the Swedish market?

Thank you for this message. At this time, the WisePad 3 card reader is not yet available in Sweden although this may change in future. Please refer to the Shopify changelog as changes to the WisePad 3’s availability will be posted here.

Thank you for a swift respond. Are there any other card readers that is integrated with the Shopify POS, working on the Swedish market?

At this time Shopify does not offer any supported card readers to merchants in Sweden as we do not yet have a reader that is compatible with Swedish krona. This may change in future, but for the time being we recommend that merchants in Sweden process payments using a terminal offered by a third-party and activate custom payments within Shopify POS.

No, unfortunately I haven’t found a solution yet. We use Zettle card reader for our POS-orders and have set up a custom payment for that in the Shopify admin. But since there is no integration between Shopify POS and Zettle we need to manually match the payments in Zettle with the registered orders in Shopify.

Another way would be to use the POS-app from Zettle. Zettle has an integration to Shopify regarding products and stock and we can use an integration between Zettle and our accounting software (Fortnox) to register the sales. The big downside with this solution however is that the POS-orders are not sent from Zettle to Shopify which is very bad from a CRM-perspective. This is the reason why we haven’t implemented this solution.

In other words, we are still impatiently waiting for a card reader, compatible with Swedish krona, that is integrated with the Shopify POS-app.

We also need to find a solution for this. Can you describe in more detail how you manually match payment in Zettle? Don you only use Shopify POS PRO or lite? Do you only use card reader from zettle? Is it with shopify payment or do you have inlösenavtal via Zettle?

Shopify has promised wisepad 3 for Sweden since nov 2020….
