Issue with Cart Redirection on Mobile Devices

Hi Shopify Community,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue with my online stores, which use the Impulse and Focal themes. Both stores show the same problem:

When customers use a mobile device and try to add more than one item (e.g., two products) to their cart, they encounter an error message. However, this issue doesn’t happen to everyone—it’s affecting some customers, but it’s significant enough that we’ve received many complaints about it.

Here’s what I’ve discovered so far:

  • The issue occurs only on mobile devices. On desktops and laptops, everything works perfectly.
  • The error appears specifically when customers are redirected to the cart page after clicking “Add to Cart.”
  • If I switch to using the Cart Drawer (where the cart opens as a slide-out overlay instead of redirecting to the cart page), everything works fine—no errors at all.

We’d really like to continue redirecting customers to the cart page after they add an item, as it’s better for the checkout process.

So my questions are:

  1. Has anyone else encountered this issue, particularly with the Impulse or Focal themes?
  2. Does anyone know a fix for this problem that doesn’t require switching to the Cart Drawer?

And I think the issue is on IOS devices not on android but please check and confirm.
