Issue with price formatting with Shopify markets based on Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany

I’m migrating my store to Shopify. In our current live store (https://markslojd.com/sv-se/start), we operate in four markets:

  1. Sweden
  2. Finland
  3. Germany
  4. Denmark
  • Current store URL: https://dev-markslojd.myshopify.com/

  • Password: 12345
I’ve set up the markets in Shopify, but I’m facing issues with how Shopify formats the prices in EU currency. The positions of commas and periods are different, which affects the readability of prices.

For example, a price of 3,500.00 USD would change to 3.500,00 kr (just an example, not the actual conversion). Here’s what I’m seeing:

  • Sweden: 2 499 kr
  • Finland & Germany: €111,79
  • Denmark: 2.499 kr

As you can see, there are inconsistencies in the currency symbol positions, periods, commas, and currency codes. This is causing confusion and doesn’t match the format of our live store.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I need the currency symbol positions, periods, commas, and currency codes to be consistent with our current live store.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Huptech-Web ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

If you are noticing inconsistencies with the appearance of various different currencies, you can connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to get you authenticated, as we wouldn’t have access to any account specific information here through the Community. They will be able to take a closer look to determine whether the formatting can be adjusted as you desire.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi @Blair
