Hello, everyone!
I’m having an issue with how product images are displayed when assigning them to color variants.
I uploaded a t-shirt that comes in multiple colors, and I have both front and back images for each color. However, when I segment the product by color variants (e.g., White, Beige, Orange), Shopify asks me to assign an image to each specific variant.
The problem is: once I assign an image to a variant, it disappears from the main product gallery and only shows up when selecting that specific color.
For example:
- I upload all images to the product gallery (showing the front and back for all colors).
- Shopify asks me to assign an image to “White” when creating the variant.
- Once I do this, the White t-shirt image disappears from the general gallery and only appears when selecting the “White” variant.
This means that if a customer is viewing the product without selecting a color, they won’t see the images for all the available colors, making the product page look empty or incomplete.
What I Need Help With:- How can I keep all images visible in the general product gallery while still assigning images to each color variant?
- Is there a way to prevent Shopify from hiding images when they are assigned to a variant?
- Would this require modifying my theme settings, or is there an option I’m missing?
I’d really appreciate any guidance on this! Thanks in advance.
