We’ve recently been having this on going issues where customers want to edit their cart. We have a slide out cart. The CTA leads them straight to the checkout. If the customer wants to remove an item, they go back to the Shopify /cart page. If they remove an item from this page view and go back into the checkout page the product they have removed is still there.
Initially we thought it was an app we had on the cart, but we’ve removed that and cleared shopify cache. We have no other extensions on the site that should effect the cart/checkout. The only pattern i can currently see is that the carts are quite large with 10 or more different items. Annoyingly i can only replicate the issue every now and then. We are currently getting an average of 2 customers a day having this issue.
