We have encountered several issues with webhook integrations following the release of API version 2024-07. Specifically, our application, integrated with Shopify for eCommerce functionalities, has been experiencing intermittent webhook delivery problems since this update.
- Missed Webhooks: Several customers who integrated with Shopify through our application in July and August and selected version 2024-07 for their webhooks have reported that webhooks are now being missed. These issues did not occur before the update
- Response Changes: We’ve observed changes in webhook responses that have caused processing errors and missed updates, particularly impacting those who selected the 2024-07 version during their integration.
These issues appear to be directly related to the use of the 2024-07 API version in webhook setups, and we believe there may be underlying changes in the webhook mechanism or response formats that could be contributing to these problems.
We kindly request that your team investigate this matter, as it is impacting our customers’ experience and our ability to maintain seamless integration with Shopify.
