Issues working with products that require limited editions

Hello, I encountered a problem working with products that require limited editions on the Shopify platform. In my case I’d like to work with limited prints (fine arts). I would like to know if there is any way or app that solves this problem? Can anyone help me please?

Example:
I have 3 different sizes of prints and I’d like to offer 99 units for each size (A3, A2 and A1) with colored frames, but these frames should not directly influence the quantity in stock.

Is the black/white frame concept consistent across all products? If so you likely don’t need an app and more just some small customisations to the page layout. The layout you’re already showing is custom so would not be a big leap to add the frame work.

In short, make the frame choice a line item property. Since it doesn’t effect price or inventory - there’s no real value keeping that part of the variant. The custom code would add the frame option next to each variant. Do you need more info on line item properties beyond what’s in the help docs?

I watched some tutorials on YT for this solution (line item property) and it worked for what I need. Tks a lot!

Hi @colorwiseart ,

While you’ve already received a suggestion, I’d like to propose a simpler solution that doesn’t require any coding. This way, if you encounter a similar issue in the future, you can consider using the Free Easify Product Options app. It allows you to create Frame options within the app and assign them to your relevant products without affecting the inventory of your prints :hugs: .

Here’s a quick guide on how to set it up with the app:

  • Create your print products with Size options only; there’s no need to create Frame options and variants.

  • Install the app and create a new option set:

  • Add an option for choosing Frames, using either Image Swatches, Dropdown, or any other option types supported by the app (there are a total of 25 display option types):

  • Select the product(s) to which you want to add the Frame options, and you’re all set!
