Jewelry niche, visitors but no sales?

sa-jewelry.com

Hello, so recently I started a jewelry business and have been advertising on pinterest, facebook and google for about a week each. The ad budget is 5$ per day and the audience target is people with interest in jewelry and like discounts. I offer 50% off for this month and 10% first order discount. 800 visitors, 3 abandoned checkouts and nothing more. I have emails set up, delivery is about 4$ but tracking is included. I have reviews set up on website which are directly from suppliers (same product and shipping method). What is going on? Should I look for single product to make a whole brand about or would this work?

I do have follow up emails set for abandoned carts and email them myself as well with discount codes. The 2 or 3 that had abandoned cart I have sent 15% off codes but they never bought anything. As for the leads I already have such a big offer for the customers which is only there because this is the start of the business.

Hi @Retailer7867 ,

Getting sales can be tricky. Here are a few things that I noticed when I reviewed your site:

  1. $5 is not enough of an ad budget to compete. You are in a very competitive industry and you need a bigger budget to work with in order to get some visibility in the space.

  2. Your catalog is very simple. Compare your site to your competitors. They have extensive catalogs with mega menus and in-depth product filters. Your site can be hard to browse your collection. Also, you have only 9 items to choose from. Jewelry stores need more of a selection to succeed.

  3. The site tells me nothing about the business. No about page, no message. Doesn’t give off a trustworthy vibe.

  4. No offsite reviews/social proofs (i.e google reviewss, yelp reviews, etc.)

  5. Since the last IOS update, it has gotten more difficult to advertise on social media now that Apple has eliminated cookies. Not as simple as throwing up a few products & a random campaign.

The site & offering have a long way to go before you can expect any type of performance. But I hope some of these suggestions point you in the right direction.

Best of luck!

Hey @Bluesoft_Design

As you have over 800 store visitors but no purchases yet, it may be that shoppers are looking for something different from what you’re currently offering. You might wannt to evaluate your ads to see if the message is the same as what’s on your website. Or you might also want to evaluate where you’re losing shoppers in the customer journey and optimize the experience. An app that suggests products based on individual customers’ needs & behavior may be able to help with your situation. Try ribbons or banners like ‘Trending’,’ New Arrivals’ or ‘Recommended For You‘

This will also help your store visitors with product discovery and is more likely to convert into a purchase.
