Just wanted to come on and say how much I hate the new homepage. You have made it much harder to see the key metrics that matter to me and this all seems to be so you have more screen space to try and push products and services at me that I do not need or want. This is a huge backward step and the money and time your designers wasted doing this would have been better spent on giving us features we actually want.
Hi, I absolutly agree. The overview is lost. I see only widges and boxes and all the important informations like orders and so on are only a 1 cm line in the last end of the screen. To check something I have to let going my eyes over the whole screen. before it was one look and I could see all in one view and one box.
it is realy horrible and unuseable. horror horror horror
I dont need a earth ball to see where a customer is online. thats the last what I need for my work when I pack my order and like so how many orders I had today and what was the order value.
Never I will understand why always good working things will going to destroy without any reason.
second this - we don’t want more half-baked AI tools. Show me my sales without making me click 15 things.
Another morning another ■■■■■■■■■ sorry for my vocabulary
I need my open orders and not boxes and widges and earth balls
Was anybody checking this layout before the roll out? it seems not.
Hi there @WeAreFairTrade
I know your frustration, the new homepage design has changed the emphasis and can make some of the key metrics seem a little less up in your face for daily workflows. A popular workaround many merchants utilize is to skip the homepage completely and access Analytics directly then Overview (formerly Home) or Reports via the left menu. You can also bookmark those pages so you go straight to the data you care about every time you visit. and in due course it will take us back to a much cleaner dashboard style workflow without it being reliant on the home screen.
I think the point you are missing is that none of us need or want the changes you have made. They serve no useful purpose to us and seem to be driven by teh vanity of your development team and Shopify’s persistence in seeing us as a resource to be sold to rather than paying customers to be served.
Why should we have to make more clicks and come up with ways to offset the negative impacts of the latest changes?
Why can’t Shopify have the humility to accept that the latest changes are silly and pointless and revert back to what your paying customers actually want?
You’re not actually speaking with anyone who works for Shopify, and no one here is affiliated with the Shopify design teams. Your complaints and feature requests need to go to Shopify Support. Otherwise you’re just in a boat in the middle of the ocean screaming at people in a sound proof room inside a bunker.
and this is the point. I tried to give my feedback to Shopify and the support tell me that I should have a feedback button in my desktop, but I dont have. and if I dont have them I should write here in the community because “they will read it here”.
So shopify cutted the possibility to give the feedback to the right department
Yes. I was told the same lie by support - “Just use the feedback option in your admin.”.
Even Apple - the kings of arrogance and thinking they know better than their customers - have started to realise that nobody knows what customers want better than the customers themselves.
Shopify needs to find some humility and do the same.
