Just imported 7k orders and trying to change orders to fulfilled without sending notification email

OK - coming over from another platform. Finishing up importing 7k orders and trying to figure out a way to mark orders as fulfilled without triggering an email to the customers. These orders were all already shipped 1-2 years ago, an email now would simply confuse them.

How can I change the status to fulfilled without sending an email to them.

Thanks!

Hey there,

Welcome to Shopify!

This can be achieved quite easily in your admin. Check out our guide here for manually fulfilling orders.

After selecting the orders you’d like to fulfill, be sure to un-check this option on the pop-up, which will prevent the shipping notification email from sending to your customers. Looks like this:

My concern is since you’re working with a very large number of orders you could run into issues with human error and loading time. I’d like to suggest utilizing a third-party app to help process bulk fulfillment such as Bulk Fulfill. It’s a free app that you can download from the app store.

Based on the screenshots, it looks like you’ll still be able to toggle the shipping notification off which is exactly what you need. I’d love to know how that goes for you!

How are things going for you otherwise with your migration to the platform? Are you running into any other pain points I may be able to help you with? Don’t hesitate to reach out and be sure to bookmark our migration guide here to help support you through the process.

Ren, really liking the platform so far. The only thing that still has me stumped is the top sellers area. Is there anyway to only show the top sellers for the past number of days - say 5 or 10, etc. So far, I can find no conditions that I can set to only show top sellers for past number of days. We have big sellers in the summer time and then the winter other products sell well. What is happening is the products that sell very well in the summer will always show as the top sellers since I can’t seem to find out where to limit the number of days the top sellers products are pulled from. The default looks to be all time and no conditions involve number of days or timeframe that I can limit this. Thanks!

Glad to hear it!

This is a great question and accessing this report will depend on your plan. Product specific sales reports are available on a Shopify Plan (mid-tier) or higher. This would be a good reason to consider upgrading if you need frequent access to these report types. You can learn how to upgrade your plan here.

If a plan upgrade isn’t an option at this time, you can still look into some of our third-party Reporting apps to see if one may be suitable for your needs. The nice thing about apps is the ability to trial them for up to 14 days before you commit to paying.

I hope that helps! If there is anything else I can help out with, please don’t hesitate to ask.
