Klarna not showing at checkout - Stop checkout page from redirecting to shop app

I have been alerted to an issue several times from customers wishing to checkout using our finance options

When customer is checking out they enter their email address which automatically redirects them to a shop.app url, which then forces them to pay by shop pay

When trying to checkout as a guest, the customer will then have the option to pay by any other payment method

My question is there any way to stop the checkout page from redirecting to shop app? the very least we can do is change the language and possibly the location to the top of the page of “checkout as guest” I have found one mention in the language section but it doesn’t change anything on the front end

I have tried removing the shop app from apps and sales channels already, it still does the same. I have been speaking with support but I don’t think they understand either

Same problem here. It prevents manual payments to be available which is what our wholesale business is about,

Any update? We have made a custom app for reward points that work fine on our page checkout URL, however if the customer get redirected to shop.app checkout our app is not working. Can we disable shop.app page without turning off shop or shop payments?

You can try turning this off.
settings > customer accounts > Sign in with Shop

In your product listing in your Shopify admin you can specify Sales Channel on top right, try removing Shop. I myself have personalized products which allow customers to personalize before purchase and I exclude Shop otherwise it may bypass the store’s in page personalization options and go directly to Shop’s built-in checkout. If I don’t make it available in Shop, they wont be able to see it listed from within the app and checkout within the app.
