I’ve been running an online and box sporting good’s store for almost a year now. I’ve used both Klaviyo and Shopify Marketing to run (some) campaigns and automated flows.
I’ve had a lot of issues with Klaviyo and having it sync new contacts when they are added via Shopify POS resulting in them not receiving a Welcome Series for subscribing.
I’ve also ran into the issues of having most of my e-mails going into the junk or spam folders of my recipients through either platform when I manually send out the welcome e-mail among others as well.
Is there much reason to use Klaviyo still as Shopify seems to offer a lot more when it comes to e-mail marketing?
Or have you ran into similar issues like myself while using the Shopify’s POS system and Klaviyo flows?
The majority of my issues with Klaviyo are when I use my Shopify POS system to add a new subscriber, Klaviyo seems to skip on sending them the welcome series flow e-mail or rather just doesn’t even acknowledge them at all. They will just go into the Newsletter segment and nothing else will come from it. I could just manually send them the e-mail but that just defeats the purpose of the flow in the first place.
Another issue I am having is the fact my e-mails when used with Klaviyo, they apparently go right to spam folders and I had Klaviyo support go in and fix the domain but there are a few steps yet with my e-mail provider I need to take in order to fully resolve that issue.
Shopify’s Marketing seems to have most of the flows that I would be operating under Klaviyo and might not cause this many issues already…
Is there much of a reason to not utilize the Shopify provided automations and marketing over Klaviyo and others out there?
I just simply want to be able to add my customers and have the flows and automations work properly,
